You can't get a good quality running car for under 5k. Sell a 5k car for parts for 1500 after 18 months, and that's under $200/month running cost. 415. 268. r/whatcarshouldIbuy. Join.
Yeah, a newer Mazda 2 is a far better choice. Things are less likely to go wrong, you get all the safety bollocks of new cars, you get cheaper tax (probably), you get cheaper insurance, etc. If OP is dead set on that yaris/jazz though, main dealers with that budget isn't going to be great. 2. mo_better_blues.
Automatic transmission is a must for my family. The Yaris should be fine. You would be surprised how many of the locals drive a Yaris, even in the dead of winter. Be careful on the gravel roads and look into getting the insurance. Had the automatic yaris in april. It was excellent for the ring road.
Especially for a first car and why is it better ? (Oh and if relevant I’m specifically referring to Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen polo) Yaris is almost definitely a better value. Maintenance and repairs are MUCH cheaper and more widely available for it, it's a cheaper vehicle with a great track record.
Sort by: SpyCake1. • 7 hr. ago. The 2020 Yaris HB in the US is just the newer Mazda 2. But I guess you probably already knew that. This is a really weird comparison to be making. 1 - Obviously a newer and better car, but has been in a crash and costs 2x. vs 2 - Older, more basic car, good shape, 1/2 the price, but would need to learn a manual.
The wheel base is also shorter, so it's more roudy. Yes, it has less power than the Corolla, but Toyota offers/will offer a version of the GR Yaris that comes with the GR Corolla's exact engine configuration. Plus it also has the coolness factor of being an actual homoligation rally car.
I'm choosing between A 2013 Yaris 1.5 hybrid with one year guarantee for 9000 euro and a brand new Aygo for 12000 euro. Both automatic. The insurance costs are higher for the Yaris somehow .. donno why! Both has the same features .. I'm only concerned about the yaris battery and the re-sell value.
Corolla vs. Yaris. I’m currently narrowed down to two Toyotas. East coast Canada if that matters. 2016 Corolla LE (auto) - 156, 000 km - $11, 995. 2016 Yaris (manual) - 143, 000 km - $11, 495. The thing is, I’ve heard the timing belt has to be replaced every 150 000 or so on Corollas. Is that true for this model and would it be a game
